Enterprises get informed about resource efficiency and innovative material use

On the 14th November 2012 around 120 participants coming from enterprises, research institutes, and networks as well as public bodies visited the European SME Forum on the topic of resource efficiency at the fair trade GlobalConnect, organized by the Ministry of Finance and Economics of Baden-Württemberg, Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum and kindly supported by the Enterprise Europe Network and Handwerk International Baden-Württemberg.
Within a diverse Morning Session and five forums on management, eco design, production, lightweight innovations as well as sustainable construction in the afternoon the visitors had the opportunity to learn about the latest technology and outstanding best practice examples of resource efficiency in Baden-Württemberg and Europe.

As an innovation and growth engine the federal state of Baden-Württemberg supports particularly small and medium sized enterprises in resource efficiency. The efficient and innovative usage of limited resources, materials and energy will determine the success of European enterprises for many years.

Resource efficiency is a leitmotif of the European Union in line with the Europe 2020 strategy. The flagship initiative “a resource-efficient Europe” supports strategic programs in the area of energy, traffic, industry, resources and regional development amongst

In addition to participating in the SME Forum, participants are invited to visit the Global Connect fair on internationalisation, as well as the Enterprise Europe Network's Matchmaking Event.
